Social Business Earth (SBE) is a Swiss consulting and advisory service organization based in Lugano, Switzerland, that offers services to implement the social business model with the objective to maximize the social impact of businesses, social entrepreneurs, charities, philanthropists and government entities. SBE initiates and manages social businesses and sustainable development programs around the world to solve social and environmental issues through an entrepreneurial approach. SBE's role is to establish social businesses through partnerships and cooperations with stakeholders from the private, public and social sector. Social businesses are non-dividend companies created to solve a problem affecting our society or the environment without depending on donations. Investors in a social business can gradually recoup their initial capital, and subsequently all profits are re-invested in the social business to expand its outreach and achieve its social mission. In addition, SBE offers social business consulting, training and capacity building to companies, foundations, NGOs, educational institutions and NFL (non-formal learning) programs in Switzerland and globally. SBE operates as a social business itself and is the first non-dividend company of social utility registered in Canton Ticino, Switzerland.
