The American Red Cross Minnesota and Dakotas Region serves more than 7.5 million people. Across the United States, the Red Cross shelters, feeds and counsels victims of disasters; provides about forty percent of the nation's blood supply; teaches lifesaving skills; supports military members and their families; and reconnects families separated by disasters and conflict. The Red Cross is a charitable organization -- not a government agency -- and depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its humanitarian mission.
