www.nrcp.caThe National Reference Centre for Parasitology (NRCP) is committed to providing effective diagnosis, surveillance, and control of major parasitic diseases, with the objective to reduce morbidity and mortality in Canadians. We respond to public health threats in coordination with the National Microbiology Laboratory (NML), develop advanced methods to improve tests and procedures that take place in the laboratory, and operate laboratory practices and standards for clinical laboratories. Researchers at the NRCP study current public health issues, employ modern methods and state-of-the-art technologies in their tests, actively participate in scientific research performed in the lab, train students through undergraduate and graduate programs, and provide specialized training for post-doctoral fellows.
