Goochland County Volunteer Fire-Rescue Association, Inc. (dba GVFRA) is the non-profit 501(c)3 subdivision of Goochland County's Department of Fire-Rescue and Emergency Services. We work seamlessly with the Goochland County career staff to provide dedicated emergency response to the citizens of Goochland County. At the end of 2018, GVFRA owned and operated five out of the six active fire-rescue stations within Goochland County (companies #1-#5). There were 321 volunteer members. GVFRA administers a Benevolence Fund and a Scholarship Fund for the benefit of its members. Training/education and uniforms are subsidized. County residency is not a requirement for membership.
