The Food Laboratory (Pty) Ltd was founded out of a passion for science, history, and innovation. We wanted to do things differently; we wanted to bring the true entrepreneurial spirit to the scientific world. When we began conceptualizing what The Food Laboratory would look like, it was evident that the rule book would not apply to what we aspired to be – we wanted to disrupt the food industry by educating food manufacturers and sharing information openly. At The Food Laboratory, our mission is to “to create a scientific platform that disrupts the existing industry by adopting world–class service standards”. In order to achieve this, our proposition focusses on customer relationships, orientated around an all–inclusive service, as opposed to only being an ingredients Suppliers or an authoritative product–safety provider. We offer ourselves as your go–to technical confidant. Our service platform is vast because we believe in strong collaborations, tapping into the experts whenever possible. Our unique strength is being able to put it all together in a simplified way that makes commercial sense, all the while being proud to share the information openly; and teach those who are willing to learn.
