Patriot Divers is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit charity founded on September 11, 2013 in Land O’Lakes, Florida. Patriot Divers’ mission is to provide all military veterans and their families –wounded and able-bodied—an opportunity to learn the skills and to obtain certification in SCUBA diving. Scuba diving has proven to be an effective means of recreational physical therapy rehabilitation and community re-integration of wounded and disabled soldiers back into civilian society. The Patriot Divers founders are both veterans and are both active scuba diving instructors. Between the 2 of them, they have certified almost 500 divers ranging from Open Water certification thru Dive Master and over 20 specialties. They are both highly experienced divers with some of the most advanced technical scuba certifications available. They have been teaching scuba diving to wounded/disabled veterans since 2010. Patriot Divers is an accredited SDI/TDI scuba diving training facility, an accredited American Heart Association Training Site (actively teaching both CPR and First Aid courses), is an official Divers Alert Network (DAN) Industry partner, and is recognized as dealer from Oceanic Diving Inc for equipment purchases.
