Hairy Dog Photography is a specialist dog photography company operating in Aberdeen and covering most of the North East of Scotland. I'm Jamie Emerson (BA Hons Photography) and my little niche is specialist dog portraiture. I usually find dogs are often at their best whilst on home turf. This might be a favourite walk through the woods or at the beach, or even in their own living rooms ( I have a portable studio which squeezes into very small spaces! ). Each dog has his own unique character and it's this that I draw out and emphasise in his photos. He may have quirks peculiar to his breed, but over and beyond that, he may have a mischievous glint in his eye, or perhaps a particularly appealing facial expression, and it's in these that his personality lie. Photography of this kind takes patience, understanding and technical know how. So often, clients tell me I've managed to 'get' their dog perfectly. It helps that I just love dogs! From Newfoundlands and Irish Wolfhounds to terriers and rescue dogs, I'm never happier than when accompanying a dog on its walkies, equipped with a camera. A one hour photo session at the location of your choice, or in the studio is £70. This includes a six month web gallery and two 9x6" prints.
