Phoenix Project Dance is a Contemporary Dance company based in Norwich, New York. Dancers have performed though out the United States and Canada as well as overseas in Europe. Acclaimed for being athletic and passionate, the companies is know for intense partnering and weight sharing. The name Phoenix Project Dance is based from the mythology of the Firebird, which tells the tale of a bird that is reborn from it's own ashes. The triumph of it’s own demise and the re-invention of itself is the inspiration to the dance company's vision. The project is a forever evolving process of creating and performing new and innovative works.
