Schap Specialty Machine, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of custom machinery, announces the formation of a business unit specifically dedicated to the manufacture of Test and Evaluation equipment for the Seating Industry. This business unit will concentrate on the Sale and Rental of equipment for performance, endurance, and validation testing of seating and related components. This new unit addresses the growing needs of the automotive, industrial, and office furniture seating industries. William Schap, company president, feels this is a logical step in the growth of the company based on analysis of the last fifteen years of sales, and the high level of repeat business for seating test equipment. “When we reviewed our sales history, we found a consistent pattern of repeat business for many of the items used in the evaluation of seat and seat components. We also found that many non-automotive customers were starting to utilize our existing designs for their requirements.
