The Story of DFSK can be traced back to DFM (Dongfeng Motor Group, China) and Sokon Group, Indonesia. DFM was originally founded in 1969, initially producing engine and various automotive parts who later started producing minivans around 2003. Sokon Group, a manufacturing entity with its core business of engines and new energy vehicles and main business of automobiles with complete industrial chain covering independent R&D, manufacturing, sales and service of automobiles, engines and spare parts. DFSK (Dongfeng Sokon Co. Ltd) was formed around the late 2004 and now stands as a global Fortune 500 Company. DFSK is now one of China’s “big three” vehicle manufacturer. DFSK operates in 8 manufacturing sites around the world among which 6 are within China, has a major plant situated within Indonesia to cater to the majority of South East Asia and has R&D distributed across China, Germany, Japan and USA. Since 2005, the company has exported vehicles to more than 70 countries and regions, and has reached a cumulative sales of over 5 million units.
