The New York State Baseball Hall of Fame is divided into three geographic areas: UPSTATE, DOWNSTATE and WESTERN NEW YORK. Western New York includes Buffalo, Syracuse, Rochester and Utica. Downstate includes New York City, Long Island and points north to Kingston. UPSTATE goes from Kingston to Canada. The Hall of Fame is designed to honor former players, coaches, umpires and ambassadors of the game of baseball from the state of New York. The inaugural class was inducted in 2011.
