Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management was established by the Nitte Education Trust on July 4, 1998. Named after the visionary founder, late Justice K S Hegde, the Institute offers a two-year full-time MBA program recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and the Government of Karnataka and is affiliated to the Visvervaraya Technological University, Belagavi. The Institute is also recognized as a centre for guiding research. The institute was recently accredited by ACBSP and is now among those few institutes in India with the ’ACBSP accredited status’. The institute with an NBA accredited MBA program is accredited by NAAC with grade ‘A’ and recognized among the premier B-schools in Karnataka based on its performance in the field of academics, consultancy and research activity. The last fifteen years have seen the institute grow from a fledgling institute with only 40 students in the first batch of 1998-2000 to an institution which awarded MBA degrees to 157 students in the 16th batch under the guidance of nearly 20 faculty members. Our Mission is to "prepare enterprising leaders who are analytical, communicative, ethical and alive to social responsibility, and who, by discovering their own inner voice, are able to celebrate diversity in a rapidly changing global environment”.
