Our Story Shackleton Life was established in 2013 after developing the Endurance product which is a Mortgage Bond Protection Insurance policy which offers peace of mind that, in the event of death, disability, dread disease or retrenchment, the insureds' bond or debt with the financial institution is settled or paid for during the insureds' time of need. Shackleton Life is part of the Shackleton Group of companies. The Shackleton Group was born in 2002 with the formation of Shackleton Credit Management, a company established to acquire and manage a non-performing loan portfolio from a major South Africa banks. In 2005 Shackleton Risk Management, which provides niche short term insurance product to legal and insolvency practitioners was added to the group.
