Canning Liturgical Arts
www.canningliturgicalarts.comCanning Liturgical Arts' experts in sacred decoration, restoration, conservation, and creative expression work closely with clergy and congregations responsible for the historic restoration and maintenance of their churches. We are at our best when we can examine your church and show you the possibilities we see in the problems you’re facing. Don’t worry. Budgets are a fact of life that we tightly control. Artisans on our team are skilled in multiple disciplines – historic research and interpretation, conservation and creation of murals, sacred fine art, ornamental plaster, decorative paint and finishes, gilding, stone, and wood cleaning and repair. We are equally adept working on priceless historic churches or creating new liturgical design treatments for mid-century modern buildings. As these churches are in need of restoration, we’ve seen an interest from the clergy and congregations in sensitively blending traditional liturgical design elements and sacred art into the non-traditional architecture. Our mission is to “do no harm.” We eagerly investigate new technologies and materials that can augment traditional methods, allowing us to create innovative, minimally invasive restoration solutions. A division of John Canning Co., CLA is known for in-depth knowledge of ecclesiastical decoration and tradition, respect for historic integrity, and sound business management.
