Paper Tiger, established in 1981, offers design led products from new and established Edinburgh and UK based artists, all carefully selected, and including a large selection of creative cards, stylish stationery, gifts, toys, books and wrap. We are very proud to represent local Scottish work at both our Edinburgh stores. We are a Living Wage employer, amongst the first in Scotland, and we are also the first independent Scottish business to become Fair Tax Mark accredited company, committed to being a responsible business in our working practices and our approach to our relationships with our employees, our suppliers and our customers. We actively support a number of charities and over the years we have donated thousands of pounds to causes such as The Edinburgh Royal Hospital For Sick Children, Breast Cancer Now, and the UNHCR fund for Syrian Refugees, as well as donating prizes and vouchers to local businesses and charities that resonate with our team and our values as a business. PAPER TIGER HISTORY Paper Tiger was established in 1981. It began life as part of the Studio One group of companies, founded by John Johnson in 1966, and over the course of fifty years encompassed designs shops, record shops, galleries, cook shops and upholstery businesses. Paper Tiger trades from its stores in Stafford Street and Lothian Road in Edinburgh, we also have our Studio One Furniture sister store in Morningside. Although separate businesses, the shops continue to be run on John’s core ethos of good design at great prices.
