C4ITA’s mission is to elevate equity of our local under-served, under-represented, under-resourced talent and create access to high value information technology careers, by addressing the pervasive and severe imbalance (10 open jobs – 1 graduate available) between technology supply and demand in the market, by creating a public-private education & apprenticeship partnership, resulting in a new pipeline of skilled talent for the local employers. In essence, create sustained value for local Students, Communities, Employers, Colleges, and Schools. (currently, of the Illinois Computer graduates from 4 year colleges, less than 16% are women, less than 10% are Latinx and Black.)
