The Romanian Society of Applied Geophysics (RSAG) was founded in May 2012 in Bucharest, Romania, at the Department of Geophysics, Faculty of Geology and Geophysics, University of Bucharest, by academic staff and geophysicists involved in research or exploration activities. In October 2013 the Romanian Society of Applied Geophysics (RSAG) joined the Balkan Geophysical Society (BGS). In November 2015 the Romanian Society of Applied Geophysics (RSAG) became an Associated Society to the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE).
