The Café del Mar brand is the most famous and prestigious in the area known as Beach Clubs and Chill Out music. Café del Mar was born in Ibiza, in a bar next to the San Antonio beach, famous for the choice of music it plays during the evening. Built on an idea from Ramón Guiral Broto, Carlos Andrea and José Les, and designed by the architect Lluis Güell, it was opened on 20 June 1980. The bar commercialised a simple idea: to enjoy evenings in the Caló Des Moro beach while listening to good music and having a drink. Since 1994, Café del Mar has released its own chill out, lounge, ambient, chill house and Balearic beats albums. The choice of music reflects the atmosphere of Ibiza. Currently, Café del Mar has a presence in many establishments around the world, and millions of people buy the music.
