Palazzo Maffei Casa Museo is an art museum situated in the heart of Verona, Piazza delle Erbe, above the area of the ancient Roman Capitolium. Palazzo Maffei is a symbol of the city and of the Italian Baroque architecture at its finest. It currently houses the collection of the passionate businessman Luigi Carlon, recreating the atmosphere of his private home. A selection of over 350 works distinguished by an everlasting eclecticism with an important focus on antique Veronese painters and a passion for modern 20th Century art represented by the great masters of the twentieth century like Picasso, De Chirico, Magritte, Max Ernst, Kandinsky, Duchamp, Warhol, Fontana, Burri, Balla and Boccioni.
