The DES started as a non-profit trade society in 1976 and today comprises close to 50 individual trading members. We have been an affiliate member of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) since 1980, with the distinction of being the first diamond exchange in Asia to be granted membership in this international umbrella body comprising of 29 diamond exchanges (bourses) in 20 countries. DES members conduct their business in accordance with the universal ethical and trading rules of the WFDB. Local and international jewellery buyers can deal with confidence with our members at the trade and consumer level, and benefit from their expertise and wide range of products.
