BGH Capital ("BGH") was established in 2017 by Robin Bishop, Ben Gray and Simon Harle with the objective of creating the pre-eminent private equity firm in Australia and New Zealand. BGH is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia and is an independent firm, owned and managed by its founding partners. BGH Capital Fund I had a final close of approximately A$2.6 billion in May 2018. BGH Capital Fund II closed in February 2022 at $3.6 billion. This represents the largest private equity fund focused on Australia and New Zealand that is actively deploying capital. The founding partners have extensive investment experience and a demonstrated ability to build leading investment businesses. Ben Gray and Simon Harle established and led the Australian and New Zealand private equity team at TPG Capital, while Robin Bishop was previously head of Macquarie Capital Australia and New Zealand, the region’s largest investment bank, with a significant portfolio of principal investments. BGH partners with entrepreneurs and management teams in Australia and New Zealand to help them build strong, sustainable, market-leading businesses. We intend to provide our portfolio companies with the capital they need to grow, as well as analytical, strategic and operational resources to help them reach their potential. In doing so, we seek to achieve attractive risk-adjusted returns for our investors.
