Atlanta Lightning Protection was founded by Sue Browning and Fred Powell in May of 1997. Since then, Atlanta Lightning has emerged as the premier lightning protection company in Georgia. Atlanta Lightning specializes in commercial new construction and reroof projects, but we do install systems on residences as well. In January of 2021, Fred Powell sold Atlanta Lightning to BASE Lightning. The Smith family of BASE Lightning decided to move forward under the Atlanta Lightning Protection name that Fred and Sue made so well known in Atlanta.
