UCC's College of SEFS consists of 9 schools and departments across the following disciplines; School of Biological Earth & Environmental Science (BEES); School of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, School of Engineering, School of Food & Nutritional Sciences, School of Computer Science & Information Technology, School of Mathematical Sciences, School of Microbiology, School of Chemistry and the Department of Physics. The College of SEFS currently offer 15 different undergraduate entry routes which have multiple degree award outlets attainable. Additionally, the college offers 22 taught masters programmes and extensive masters and PhD in research are available to incoming students focused on research. College of SEFS has strong links with industry partners worldwide, with industry placements integral to many of the undergraduate and Master degree streams. In Ireland, Cork is a hotbed of industry; pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology, telecommunications, energy, engineering, ICT, FMCG and manufacturing. Multinational companies actively seek graduates of our degrees to enter their workforce. The employment engagement scheme is hugely popular with our international graduates, offering graduate work visas for up to 2 years where no sponsorship is required.
