The Economic Development Council of South Miami-Dade (EDC) is a non-profit entity which has focused its mission on the ever-changing South Miami-Dade business landscape. The organization is directing its attention to business sustainability; job creation and growth; towards the marketing of community strengths to entice new business and industry; as well as towards the generation of much-needed collaboration between existing organizations, agencies and governmental entities. By being grassroots in nature, the EDC is the organization that is most in tune with the local business community, its successes, and its impediments.
