At the Center for Evidence Based Policy (CEPE), we do applied research to improve the quality of socially impactful public policies and programs, through providing and evaluating rigorous evidence. Our network of scholars, researchers and partners works on projects oriented to promote the use of evidence as an essential tool for the development of public goods. We have an independent investigation agenda and we work at every state level, sharing the results of our work, to multiply its impact among decision makers and to add to public debate. We focus on key areas for the development of the country and on key methodologies, grouped in six programs of research: 1. Impact evaluation; 2. Present and future of jobs; 3. Economic development; 4. Social development and Education; 5. Behavioral economics applied to public policies; 6. Technological change impact. To approach all the challenges of our investigations, we study academic debates and international experiences, and we apply innovative methodologies to design solutions for public policies, strategies for implementation, monitoring operative processes and impact evaluations in target populations. Thus, we dare to rethink reality, problems and possibilities in Argentina and the region from that perspective.
