Hispanic Alliance for Clinical and Translational Research
alliance.rcm.upr.eduThe Hispanic Alliance for Clinical and Translational Research (Alliance) was developed within an existing infrastructure of a 10-year partnership known as the Puerto Rico Clinical and Translational Research Consortium (PRCTRC). The Alliance brings together the intellectual and physical resources of 3 academic centers of medicine and health sciences in Puerto Rico, to support an island-wide program dedicated to conducting clinical and translational research. The members of the Alliance are: -UPR Medical Sciences Campus -Universidad Central del Caribe -Ponce Medical School Foundation / Ponce Research Institute Our goal is to develop and sustain an integrated program in Puerto Rico focused on clinical and translational research that addresses prevalent diseases that affect marginalized communities. The long-term goal is to transform research by increasing collaborations to promote discovery and decrease the burden of disease prevalent in Hispanic populations in the US and Puerto Rico.
