River Cam Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture Clinic (“River Cam”) is one of the emerging Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) healthcare providers in Hong Kong. As an alternative or complement to conventional Western medicine, River Cam offers quality services in herbal medicine, acupuncture, and bone-setting. River Cam was established in 2011. There are 4 clinics located in Shau Kei Wan, Hang Hau, Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay. All 4 clinics are registered healthcare service providers in the government’s Elderly Healthcare Voucher Programme and are enlisted Chinese medicine clinics in the Primary Care Directory since 2012. Our practitioners have become BUPA Care HealthNet and Quality Healthcare panel doctors since 2015. In recognition of River Cam's clinical expertise and service quality, Hong Kong's largest NGO Tung Wah Group of Hospitals CROSS Centre has commissioned River Cam as a major collaborator to provide TCM service to Psychotropic Substance Abusers in the community. Such multi-disciplinary collaboration with social workers and Western doctors enhances the quality of medical care and patients are heavily subsidized by the government and River Cam. River Cam has just been awarded the "Outstanding Caring Shop" in recognition of our outstanding contribution to the community by the Steering Committee on Promotion of Volunteer Service of the Hong Kong Government Social Welfare Department in the year 2014-15. In appreciation of our enlightened policy on employing people with disabilities, the Labour Department of the Hong Kong SAR Government awarded River Cam Certificates of Appreciation for 2 consecutive years in 2013 & 2014. River Cam has been a supporter of the Social Welfare Department’s Senior Citizen Card Scheme and provides discounts to the underprivileged elderly in the community. River Cam is also an industry collaborator to St. James Settlement and Tung Wah College and has been the employer of their graduates and students.
