Medotemic AB develops easily accessible, mobile systems, for advanced motion analysis when walking or running. The step-analysis is performed by collecting sensor-data through an app when in motion. The smartphone is carried in a waist belt, preferable with the mobile positioned on the back for best results. Detailed results are shown directly after the training both in the app and on the web. The system helps runners to perfect the running technique or those who wants to analyze their walking motion. The reason can be multiple like rehabilitation after hip/knee surgery, ACL-injury or just want to work on a better, more symmetrical, movement. The system analyzes and lists several motion parameters who can be studied separately in graphs, or compared to detect trends in the motion development. Work is ongoing to develop a tailored CE-certified system to serve the needs for physiotherapists and other competencies working with patients who strive to improve their way of walking.
