The Novastar community is a grassroots effort composed of local families and students who are seeking an academically rigorous, globally aware, and tech-enabled program that celebrates and sustains their cultural diversity. We are a proposed K12 public charter school focused on the following design elements: - International Academic Standards - Project-Based STEAM Curriculum - World Languages Fluency - Career and Technical Education Certification - Flexible Learning Environment - Individualized, Competency-based Learning Paths Novastar Academy will nurture a community of globally competent students, preparing them for future success in the world they will inherit. Novastar Academy will provide students with agency in learning with focus on international academic standards, multi-literacy and emotional maturity through interdisciplinary project-based STEAM learning and workplace explorations. Novastar Academy will transform teaching practice, learning experiences and community engagement, becoming a cutting edge laboratory school.
