Today the fire department consists of more than 28 volunteer and two full-time firefighters and emergency medical technicians. There is a live-in resident at both fire stations along with 3 paid members working rotating shifts 6 days a week. Our paid members work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the rest of the members are on call 24/7. The department covers approximately 65 square miles including Wabash Township and a portion of Shelby Township. Wabash Fire also responds to assist surrounding agencies within Tippecanoe and surrounding county’s.
