Empirics Asia is an open-access knowledge sharing platform that seeks to facilitate the collective exchange of insights, ideas and experience throughout Asia. The platform provides a democratic avenue for practical knowledge to be collectively published, shared and accessed in the region. Without being restricted by advertising interests or commercial intentions, Empirics aims to enrich the lives of those living in the region through a unique form of digital crowd publishing and collective discourse that aim to be actionable, practical, educational and inspirational. Asia has been garnering a lot of attention in the recent years with its meteoric emergence. Empirics aims to effectively supplements this scene by providing access towards a practical understanding of the region through collective publishing from authors and participants at the grassroots level. Through its operations, Empirics aims to create an open and active community where collective experience, innovative ideas and intelligent insights are shared amongst the regional communities. Prior to its expanded launch, Empirics was originally founded as The Asian Entrepreneur, a business publication, by former Harvard University students and alumnus; the organization grew to become the world’s most authoritative non-profit business knowledge platform on Asian entrepreneurship. The organization amassed over 1,000 active writers and published close to 1 million open access articles whilst achieving substantial readership in over 40 countries. On record at the end of 2020, The Asian Entrepreneur became the largest repository of content on the topic.
