There are over 1.6 million wheelchair users in Germany. In everyday life, however, we experience that the proportion of those we meet in public is much smaller than it should be. There are many reasons for this: in many places, accessibility is still very limited. In some cases it is not at all possible to reach the desired destination on your own. This means a great loss of independence. For example, it is not possible to board a bus without asking someone for help.
