Founded in 2019 by the dancers Maya Balam Meyong and Marie-Laure Lesage, The Dancing Society is a home for art and creation, experiencing and sharing led by a group of artists driven by dance and, more broadly, movement. Thus far, The Dancing Society nurtures L'Ensemble collective, a cycle of performances and talks, classes and workshops, not to mention its international dance festival, the Perpetuum Mobile. Dance, sharing and the progressive building of a community are at the heart of The Dancing Society, which, through its action and on its scale, intends to invite everyone to become better than themselves.
