The mission of the Independence Institute is to empower individuals and to educate citizens, government officials, and opinion makers about public policies that enhance personal and economic freedom. Basically, we fight for the right of Coloradans to make their own decision. And we oppose those who want to make decisions for others via the coercive power of government. As you can imagine, we are absolutely adored by those who work to raise taxes and regulations. And we’ve been adored since 1985.
