DorSAR was founded in 2004 & since then has grown in both size reputation. Available 365 days of the year, the team can deploy anywhere in the county within 90 minutes of being called upon. Called into action via Dorset Police, are able to offer considerable resources to support the county's Emergency Services. With over 100 specialised search & rescue volunteers, In 2019 we spent a total of 3,188 hours on live callouts, 4413 on training and 1310 hours raising funds to keep our organisation going.
