The Mazira Foundation was founded in April 2006 in honor of my father, the late Rev. Hosea Mazira Odwaro. Having battled acute leukemia for about four years, my hospital visits both in Kenya and Canada inspired me to do what I now do with so much joy- Serving my community and making a difference as a medical doctor. Having been raised by a widow and also working closely with The Solid Rock Widows, this group of women hold a special place in my heart and therefore we have a specific interest in empowering them through our various programs.
