Established in Oct 2008, HKRIA is a not-for-profit copyright management organization to handle the copyrights of members who are record companies from Hong Kong and overseas regarding the broadcast, public performance and relevant usage of sound recordings (recorded music) and music videos. We license the use of sound recordings (recorded music) and music videos in broadcast, public performance and new media in Hong Kong, Macau and other territories. The founding members include EMI Group, Sony Music, Universal Music and Warner Music. Besides, bma Records, EAS Music, Soundgood Production Ltd., Beggars Group, Lemongrassmusic, Starz Track, Equilibrium, Gold Typhoon, West One Music Group, Soundproof, Frenzimusic, Fu-Music and Domino have joined HKRIA as members and more record labels are to join soon.
