In the centre of Berlin, the Federal Bauakademie Foundation will reconstruct the Bauakademie (Academy of Architecture) building, which had been damaged in the Second World War and was demolished in 1962. The foundation will establish and operate it as an open and barrier-free platform for events, exhibitions, communication and education. In terms of its purpose, this platform will deal with all relevant topics of planning, building, urban development and housing in the 21st century.
