As well, we are a College rooted firmly in the Roman Catholic tradition and serving the Catholic community. Our context is increasingly global, ecumenical and interfaith. Regis College is dedicated to the preparation of people for ministry in the Roman Catholic and other Christian communities; such ministry will take diverse forms as we seek to meet the challenge of creative new ministries. AN INTEGRATED SPIRITUALITY Regis College is committed to a spirituality which integrates the whole person. Spirituality suffuses our teaching, learning and research; it is essential to our ministerial formation and provides as well a critical service which we render to the ecumenical community at T.S.T. and to the University of Toronto, focusing attention on the spiritual dimension of Christian life. A FAITH THAT DOES JUSTICE We commit ourselves to this value which flows directly from the mission entrusted to us by the Society of Jesus. Recognition of the intrinsic link between faith and "doing justice" is central to an Ignatian way of living. CRITICAL DIALOGUE The call to facilitate a critical dialogue flows from the realisation that we must prepare for ministry in this new world in which globalisation is no longer simply an interesting theory; we meet this global reality on our doorstep and in our halls. ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE Academic excellence is our heritage, born of the tradition of the Ratio Studiorum, the Jesuit vision of education now more than 400 years old. If we have placed it last in our list of values, it is only because it is familiar to us and a ready point of reflection.
