Strategic Growth Partners
www.strategicgrowthpartners.comStrategic Growth Partners (SGP) is a unique collaboration between James Willcox, former CEO of Aspire Public Schools, and Caleb Roope, the founder and CEO of The Pacific Companies (TPC). TPC is a nationally respected vertically integrated real estate development company and one of the largest affordable housing developers in the U.S. SGP was launched as part of TPC in 2016 as a unique social venture and benefit corporation. As part of TPC, SGP immediately benefited from the expertise, capabilities, financial strength and professional network of a nationally respected developer. Our mission is to increase the number of quality public school options for families across the country. We pursue our mission in multiple ways. First, we solve the facility challenge that prevents many high quality charter schools from growing to serve more students, and delays or prevents startup charter schools from opening at all. Second, we offer our school partners the uniquely powerful opportunity to be an integral part of the community they serve—by opening their charter school as one part of a TPC affordable housing community. Finally, we build affordable teacher housing in cities where schools, investors, and local government have decided that affordable housing will help attract and retain teachers by dramatically improving their quality of life.
