The Instituto Cervantes is the official Spanish Language and Cultural centre. It's a non-profit organization founded by the Government of Spain in 1991. Its mission is to promote Spanish language teaching throughout the world as well as Spain's co-official languages, in addition to fostering knowledge of the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries. Our organization: *Provides Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE), as well as issuing the official certificates and diplomas to the participants in our courses. *Provides Spanish courses. *Provides Spanish teacher training. *Supports Hispanists in their work. *Organises cultural events in conjunction with other organisations. The work of the Instituto Cervantes is directed by representatives from the worlds of academia, culture and literature from Spain and Latin America.
