The products of design are no longer consumed but interacted with. They are intangible, inclusive, personalised and form sustainable ecosystems to weave business stories. The Design School situated in its Mumbai campus, will relay in all its activities, the power of multi-disciplinary as an essential in Design Education and build an eco-system to engage in ‘Humanising technology’. The programs offered here will look beyond employability to futuristic profiling. In sync with the ethos of the University, NMIMS School of Design launches a pioneering program which addresses the changing paradigm of the Design Profession. Our undergraduate program in Humanising Technology (B.Des), consolidates Design Technicals and Design Influencers such as emergent Technology, Psychology, Sociology, Business acumen as a unified whole. The curriculum extends the skills of a Design student beyond sketching and creative thinking to communication, programing and business as well. It focuses on an outcome based approach to nurture a Designer that is creative, agile, adaptive, observant and trained to self-learn.
