ENT Department Otology Center The center is dedicated to treat patients with ear diseases including: a. Deafness in childhood. Deafness is a common childhood disease, it’s mostly due to the retention of inflammatory fluids in the middle ear. The presence of allergies repeated nasal infections and enlarge adenoid are common factors. b. Outer ear problems including swimmer’s ears and wax infection. c. Middle ear diseases such as perforated eardrums and discontinuity of the middle ear bones. Surgeries to replace the retraction of the eardrum, the bones and the middle ear bones are performed and so is the surgery for otosclerosis and cholesteatoma. d. Mastoid surgery for chronic middle ear infections and cholesteatoma. e. Cochlear implantation program to restore electronic hearing to those born deaf or who have been deafened for various reasons and have no benefit for hearing aids. The center is supported by fully equipped Audiological Department capable of testing hearing both subjectively and objectively. Balance Center The center provides a comprehensive service of medical diagnosis and rehabilitation to patients suffering from these inner ear disorders. Rhinoloy Center The Rhinology Center is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to patients with complex sinonasal disorders. The center emphasizes comprehensive strategies that combine both medical treatments and sinus and nasal surgery. Treatment of sinonasal diseases In our center, conditions treated include: a. Septal correction b. Tubinate reduction c. Endoscopic sinus surgery for chronic rhinosinusitis with or without polyps including frontal and sphenoidal sinus procedure with correction of cerebrospinal fluid fistula and leaks d. Endoscopic maxillectomy for tumors and nasal masses e. Treatment of nose bleeds with endoscopic ligation or the feeding arteries.
