TRUevents started out as home-based business in September 2005 when Civil & Dredging Engineer turned frontman of local indie band, Evenstarr – Silas Michael Martin decided to create and manage events that he hoped were totally radical & unique. From 2006 to 2007, TRUevents became known as Kuching’s most active independent music event organiser and was eventually recommended to major concert promoters. He managed to tie up with Unilever to create the popular ‘Rexona No Sweat Bandkuest’ & managed the entire setup of TM Karnival Myteam in KK and Kuching – Silas & TRUevents were still a one-man-show business. TRUevents continued to strengthen its roots in the events management industry in 2008 till 2011 as it grew into the team of individuals that it is today, working together to successfully execute event after event. In July 2011, TRUevents grew into an end-to-end event agency, having achieved a status upgrade to officially become ‘Borneo TRU Events Sdn Bhd’ (Private Limited) with workforce capability that comprises a highly skilled & motivated team in Malaysian Borneo specialising in its four core disciplines namely: Branding, Communications and Public Relations, Business Events, Corporate Events, & Special Events & Corporate Social Responsibility TRUevents are fully focused in providing the best services to the most discerning clients.
