In 1976 our factories were established in the UAE to produce traffic signs, gantries, and various road furniture & urban development items. Installation and maintenance of those assets were handled through the factories internal construction department. Year after year the installation and maintenance operation grew to a size that necessitated a specialized and independent entity. Accordingly, In the year 2000 Giffin Contracting was established to handle the maintenance and installation of the products produced by our factories. Giffin Contracting passed through two rebranding phases, the first in the year 2002 where it was rebranded as Khalaf Sultan General Contracting and in the year 2015 where it was rebranded as Injaz. INJAZ scope grew year by year, in the year 2007 it went into construction and worked on several major projects including Wahat Hili Mall, Al Jazira Metal Industries complex in ICAD 1, Giffin Traffiks Factory in ICAD 3, Al Jazira Metal Industries Galvanizing Plant in ICAD 3, Mahawi Military Court and offices in Taweeleh. In 2013 INJAZ branched into Asphalt works, road marking, cracks repair, and other road maintenance works also it started providing airport runways rubber removal, floor marking, friction testing, and other runways, taxiways, and aprons maintenance works. In addition to road construction, INJAZ contains a technology division with fully dedicated software and system engineers. INJAZ deploys ‘state of the art’ technology platforms that delivers smart city, smart infrastructure and digital transformation readiness. Covering all regions of the Emirates, INJAZ successfully completed critical projects relating to expansion of new road networks, paving and rehabilitation of existing road networks, integration of national security infrastructure, enhancement of road safety through EMOJI digital signage and integration of tunnel management systems.
