The Social Sciences Student Union (Samhällsvetarkåren) is the Student Union for around 6500 students at the Faculty of Social Science. Samhällsvetarkåren is working with quality assurance, educational coverage and student influence at the faculty by appointing student representatives in different boards and committees. The Student Union also represents in central university and national organisations. Furthermore, the Student Union works with improving the students' work environment and study time at the University by arranging social activities for its active members and dealing with different student errands. The Student Union also works with improving social scientists' stance on the labour market and building bridges between the students and representatives from different companies and organisations. This is done by arranging career events such as case trainings, a career fair, alumni events, study visits and workshops.
