Created by law n° 65-00 on the code of basic health insurance on May 26, 2005, the National Health Insurance Agency is a public establishment endowed with legal personality and financial autonomy. Its mission is to ensure the technical supervision of basic compulsory health insurance and the implementation of the system's regulatory tools in compliance with the relevant legislative and regulatory provisions.
