FeReSO
www.fereso.beFeReSO is a Private foundation acting as the administrative body amongst suppliers of gas/electricity and distribution grid operators in the Belgian energy market, to financially reconcile the complex transactions between market parties. FeReSO, ‘FEBEG Reconciliation and Settlement Organisation’ was created in 2010, as a central facilitator to ensure the functioning and transparency of the deregulated gas- and electricity market in Belgium. More than 90 organisations and companies have entered into a commercial contract with FeReSO, and participate as such to the financial reconciliation. Mission In a nutshell, FeReSO receives the reconciliation volumes (difference between the allocated and metered volumes for end customers) from the Belgian distribution grid operators. These differences (positive or negative) are valued at the corresponding reconciliation price and settled in a multilateral process amongst suppliers and grid operators. Link with FEBEG On request from different market actors, FeReSO was created by FEBEG as a separate legal entity to ensure that the financial reconciliation is executed in an independent and neutral manner. FEBEG provides the infrastructure and the resources to ensure a qualitative execution.
