Earth Sciences Institute of Shinyanga (ESIS) is a private Technical Institution fully registered by The National Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (NACTVET) with Reg. No REG/SAT/158 to offer Exploration and Mining Geology, Petroleum Geology and related geology long and short courses. ESIS’s head office is located in Shinyanga Municipality. Application take place between March and September every year and enrollment process take place in August and September every year. Classes Begin early October every year Application can be done through online, downloadable application forms or by hard copies of the application forms collected from the college or its agents’ offices throughout the country. The minimum requirements for NTAL 4 in any of our long courses is at least a “D” grade passes in 4 science subjects from O’ Level examination results certified by NECTA OR Passed NVTA 3 in Engineering aligned subjects from VETA Registered Institutions OR Possess a relevant NTAL4 from NACTE Accredited college for a 2 year diploma course Courses Offered are: 1. Basic Certificate in Exploration and Mining Geology – NTAL 4 (1 year) 2. Basic Certificate in Petroleum Geology - NTAL 4 (1 year) 3. Ordinary Diploma in Exploration and Mining Geology - NTAL5 and NTAL 6 (2 years) 4.
