www.arab-exchanges.orgThe Arab Federation of Capital Markets was established in June 1978, under the recommendation of the Arab Central Banks Conference, held under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The Mission of the Arab Federation of Capital Markets is to create a transparent and developed environment for the Arab Capital Markets, to reduce the barriers of securities trading across the countries, to enhance the communication among its members and to coordinate their activities with the Regional and International partners. The headquarter of the Arab Federation of Capital Markets is located in Beirut, Lebanon. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, the CEO of Bahrain Bourse is the Chairman of the AFCM for the current exercise. Mr. Rami El Dokany is the Supervisor of the General Secretariat of the AFCM, former Co-founder & CEO of Pride Capital. The AFCM is the Arab industry group for 17 exchanges and 7 Clearing houses (CSDs/CCPs), and multiple affiliate members (financial institutions, brokerage firms and local industry associations) from all around the Arab region (GCC, Levant and Arab African countries).
